Iain Rankin
Iain
has been involved in small businesses since 1993 as both a consultant
and business owner. From 2004, Iain worked as a self employed advisor
for Glasgow Business Services Ltd, providing expert advice and putting
together funding packages for start-ups in Glasgow. In that time,
Iain helped over 100 start-up businesses launch successfully.
Iain's experience of business owners working in the small business sector confirms that this niche is not well looked after in the area of tax advice and business support. The proprietors of these businesses are not always proactively supported by their accountants in looking for ways to reduce their tax liabilities and in helping them to develop their business. Thus, by servicing the needs of small businesses, subcontractors and the self-employed, Iain ensures TaxKings focus on a set of clients that have traditionally been neglected.
Iain has personally invested in a number of "Buy to Let" properties in Glasgow and also specialises in capital gains tax. Iain has an MSc in Information Management and a BA (Hons) in Economics.
